Vera Katharina Schmidt
Vera Katharina Schmidt started studying Violin with Christine Busch at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart as a child-student and continued her dual studies at the Musikhochschule Lübeck in the classes of Heime Müller (Violin) and Dieter Mack (Composition) in 2009. Some of her most important artistical inspirations were given by Igor Ozim, Gerhard Schulz (Alban Berg Quartet), Elisabeth Kufferath, improvisation with georgian composer Rusudan Meipariani, as well as during the "Darmstädter Ferienkurse für Neue Musik" by Melise Mellinger (ensemble recherche). Her solistical engagements took her to play with the "Orchester des Nordharzer Städtebundtheaters" and in the field of chamber music as a member of the "Glinka Trio", the "Ensemble Radar" as well as a guest with "Ensemble Decoder". Her musical endeavours took her to Italy, Poland and Egypt, besides other countires. Vera Katharina Schmidt is a winner of the Andreas-Werckmeister-Price (Halberstadt) and a scholar of live music now.
